Healthy Pav Bhaji

Pav bhaji is an Indian dish made with vegaebables and spices. Vegetables are boiled with salt. Onions and tomatoes are then cooked with spices. The boiled vegetables are added to the cooked onions and then mashed up. This can be enjoyed with toasted buns, fresh onions and lemon juice.

Items you'll need
1 Lb Peas
1 Lb Potatoes
1 Lb Cauliflower
2 Onions
3 Tomatoes
2 Green Chilies
1Tbsp. Oil
1 Tbsp. Cumin Seed
3 Tbsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Tsp Turmeric
1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
2 Tbsp. Pav Bhaji Masala (recipe at the end)
Salt to taste


STEPS
1)      Boil the Peas, Potatoes, and Cauliflower for about 25 minutes or pressure cook them for 15 minutes


2)      Chop the Onions, Tomatoes, and Green Chilies.


3)      Heat Oil, add Cumin and Green Chilies. Cook for 1 minute on medium flame.


4)      Add Onions, Salt, and cook for 30 minutes.






5)      Add Ginger Garlic, Turmeric, Pav Bhaji Masala, 1 Cup Water, Tomatoes, and Red Chili Powder. Cook for 20 minutes.




6)      Add boiled Vegetables, mash well and cook for 5 minutes.




GARNISH WITH FRESHLY CHOPPED ONIONS, LEMON JUICE, AND ENJOY WITH SOME TOASTED BUNS.



PAV BHAJI MASALA
Make in bulk or buy from Indian store (good brands are M.D.H, Shan, Everest)
·         1 ½ inch Cinnamon
·         3 Tbsp. Coriander seeds
·         1 Tbsp. Fennel Seed
·         4 Dry Red Chilies
·         2 Tbsp. Cumin seeds
·         2 Black Cardamoms
·         5 Cloves
·         1 Tbsp. Dry Mango Powder
1)      Roast all the spices except the mango powder for 5 minutes on medium-high flame.
2)      Grind in food processor and it cool
3)      Add the mango powder
